Colin Kaepernick's father criticized CBS Sports' Pete Prisco on Twitter for being "so far from the truth it makes me sick."

Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman shared a screenshot of the tweet from Rick Kapernick's private account:

"Kap's dad here," Kaepernick wrote. "Pete, you are so far from the truth it makes me sick. Grow up and define truth. Pretty sad where you are coming from."

Prisco responded shortly thereafter:

Earlier, Prisco had questioned whether Kaepernick's contract demands are preventing him from getting a new deal:

Kaepernick remains unsigned after opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers and becoming a free agent. He threw for 2,241 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions during his final season in the Bay Area.

Kaepernick recently met with the Seattle Seahawks, who signed Austin Davis instead. In explaining the decision not to give a contract to Kaepernick, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters the 2011 second-round pick is a starting-caliber quarterback in the NFL and that Seattle already had a starting quarterback in Russell Wilson.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported money was not a determining factor in the Seahawks opting to add Davis rather than Kaepernick.
