Former Washington Huskies cornerback Sidney Jones was carted off the field Saturday when he suffered an apparent left leg injury during the school's pro day for draft prospects, according to ESPN.com's Sheil Kapadia.

KOMO-TV posted a video of the injury:

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah tweeted that he received "a bunch of texts from scouts" at the pro day who said Jones "suffered a significant lower leg injury."

The "chatter" Adam Jude of the Seattle Times heard was Jones suffered an Achilles injury. Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports recieved a text from a source who said "It's a torn Achilles."

Dave Softy Mahler of Sportsradio 950 KJR reported Jones' torn Achilles will have a recovery time of six months.

Jones established himself as one of the nation's premier corners during his time with the Huskies, and he stood out as a junior with 39 total tackles and three interceptions.

Furthermore, Jones didn't allow a single touchdown in coverage as he cemented his status as a likely first-round pick, according to Pro Football Focus.

Speaking of which, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller had Jones projected to land with the Oakland Raiders at No. 24 overall in his post-combine mock draft.

"Jones might be slender, but he's a master technician in coverage," Miller wrote. "Like Kevin Johnson when he was coming out of Wake Forest, Jones understands timing and has a silky-smooth backpedal and hips. Those traits at Washington made him one of the best cover men in the nation."

While it's unclear just how severe Jones' injury is, a long-term ailment that affects his ability to suit up for the start of the 2017 NFL season would ding his draft stock a bit.
