NFL Power Rankings 2016: Week 16 Conference Standings and Latest Super Bowl Odds
Week 16 of the NFL season is set to get underway in just a couple of days. The week is going to bring with it plenty of playoff implications.
We saw this past week carry quite a bit of postseason impact as well. The New England Patriots won the AFC East, the Seattle Seahawks took the NFC West crown and the Oakland Raiders retook the lead in the AFC West.
The playoff landscape is still very much unsettled, though Week 16 will likely settle a lot. Where do the 31 franchises stand? That's exactly what we're going to examine here.
We'll be looking at the conference standings in playoff-seeding format, meaning division-leaders will be at the top. We'll also be power ranking the 32 teams based on their current Super Bowl odds, courtesy of OddsShark.com.
We will also examine some of the most interesting teams to watch over the final two weeks of the season.

Teams to Watch
Tennessee Titans (50-1)
The Tennessee Titans have proved themselves to be a dangerous team over the past couple of weeks, knocking off both the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, the Titans have an opportunity to make a run at the AFC South title.
If the Titans can make it past the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, they'll set up a fight with the Houston Texans for the division crown in the season finale. If the Titans can do that, they'll then be hosting a playoff game.
While the Titans might not seem like a tough postseason out at first glance, they would present a tough challenge. Tennessee's offense has thrived behind the hard running of DeMarco Murray and the dual-threat capabilities of quarterback Marcus Mariota.
As a team, the Titans are now rated fifth overall by Pro Football Focus for the season.
This offense has been good enough to cut through quality defenses like the ones possessed by the Broncos and the Chiefs. Tennessee would carry the potential to do the same to a visiting playoff team.
In fact, if the Titans won the AFC South, there's a chance they'd be hosting Kansas City for a rematch.
Houston Texans (50-1)

The Texans will be equally fascinating to watch over the final two weeks, but for slightly different reasons. Yes, Houston can claim the AFC South by winning out, but a more interesting story exists at the quarterback position.
After benching starter Brock Osweiler in favor of Tom Savage last week, the Texans were able to mount a comeback against the Jaguars. Now, head coach Bill O'Brien has moved to make that change more permanent.
"I feel like Tom Savage gives us the best chance to win," O'Brien explained, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. "I'm going to give him a week to prepare as the starter, see what he can do for us on Saturday night against the Bengals."
The Texans offense appeared to operate more smoothly with Savage at the helm. It will be worth watching this week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals to see if this indeed is a trend. If so, the Texans might just be a team that potential opponents want to avoid in the postseason.
Atlanta Falcons (16-1)
The Atlanta Falcons average an NFL-best 33.5 points per game on offense. Because of this, they should be seen as a legitimate postseason threat. However, the Atlanta defense has started to improve over the back half of the season, especially in its past two games.
Atlanta held the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers to 27 combined points.
Now, it's definitely worth noting that the Rams and the 49ers are far from offensive juggernauts. In fact, they possess two of the three worst overall offenses in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.
It will be worth following the Falcons over the final two weeks—against the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints—to see if this defensive surge lies more in reality or the land of mirage. If the Falcons defense really is becoming a quality unit, then Atlanta is going to be a tough out in the postseason.
It will also be worth watching the Falcons to get an idea of how healthy star receiver Julio Jones will be heading into the postseason. He's missed the last two weeks with a foot injury.
The Falcons offense has been fine without him, scoring a total of 83 points. However, it definitely gives Atlanta an advantage when opposing defenses are forced to account for him. To get an idea of just how dangerous Jones is, just consider that he still leads the NFL in receiving yards after a two-week absence.
Green Bay Packers (12-1)

The Green Bay Packers may be the most fascinating team to watch over the past couple of weeks because of their ability to affect the NFC postseason. The team whose struggles were prompting discussions about canning coach Mike McCarthy earlier this season is now on the cusp of winning the NFC North.
If Green Bay can make it past the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16, it'll face the Detroit Lions for the division title in the season finale.
Wild-card teams aren't going to want to open the postseason in Green Bay, and they certainly won't want to face a Packers team that has won its last four contests by the combined score of 116-63.
In addition to boasting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a passing attack that is rated sixth overall by Pro Football Focus, the Packers may now have a dangerous running back in Ty Montgomery. The converted wide receiver ripped the Chicago Bears for 162 yards and two touchdowns on the ground last week.
We wouldn't be shocked if Green Bay's run of resurgence lasted all the way up until Super Bowl 51.
