Richard Sherman, K.J. Wright Fined for Week 14 Hits vs. Packers
Seattle Seahawks defenders Richard Sherman and K.J. Wright each picked up hefty fines for their actions against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14.
Per Stephen Watson of WISN12 News, Sherman was fined $18,321 for his hit on receiver Davante Adams away from the ball. Wright was fined $48,620 for his hit on tight end Richard Rodgers, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Wright's fine was more than double his teammate's due to the fact he is a repeat offender.
Green Bay earned a 38-10 blowout win over the Seahawks with Russell Wilson throwing five interceptions, likely causing some frustrations from the Seattle players.
Wright also has history with Rodgers, as the linebacker was ejected from last season's game against the Packers after a scuffle with the tight end. He was fined $10,000 after the game. He was also fined $23,152 later in 2015 for a hit on Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald.
Sherman was fined $9,115 earlier this season for his hit on Buffalo Bills kicker Dan Carpenter.
The outspoken cornerback also discussed his distaste for Thursday Night Football in an essay on The Players' Tribune.
Sherman is a three-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro cornerback, while Wright is hoping to earn his first trip to the Pro Bowl this season after totaling 113 tackles in 14 games.
