Rodgers Breaks Tie with Brett Favre for 4th-Most Games with 3 TDs and No INTs

Bleacher Report MilestonesDec 14, 2016

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers posted his 37th career game with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 14's game against the Seattle Seahawks, per ESPN Stats & Info. The outing pushed him past Brett Favre for the fourth-most such games in NFL history.

Rodgers was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Sunday's 38-10 victory, Green Bay's third straight win. The win moved the team to 7-6 and into a tie with the Minnesota Vikings for second place in the NFC North, two games back of the 9-4 Detroit Lions.

The Packers suffered through a four-game losing streak earlier this season thanks—in partto a plethora of injuries on both sides of the football. Now that the club has regained the services of guys like Jared Cook, Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins, the team has turned a corner.

The biggest injury Green Bay has to worry about now is to its star quarterback. Rodgers had previously been hampered by a hamstring injury and suffered a calf injury to his other leg Sunday. Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Rodgers isn't expected to practice again Thursday after skipping Wednesday's practice session.

Despite the hamstring injury, Rodgers has been able to tough it out and play effectively. He hasn't thrown an interception in any of the last four contests while throwing for 10 touchdowns over that span. It will be interesting to see if the latest calf issue has a bigger impact on his play.

Rodgers said Wednesday that it will be an issue of "pain management" for him Sunday against the Chicago Bears, but he does expect to play in the contest, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. If the Packers have any hope of securing an eighth straight playoff appearance, they will need their veteran signal-caller healthy enough to lead them.
