Week 10 Top Matchup
Seattle Seahawks at New England Patriots

Four years ago was the unofficial welcoming party for the Seattle Seahawks when they earned a 24-23 victory over the Patriots in Week 6 of the 2012 season and Richard Sherman brought "u mad, bro?" into the public conscious.
The Patriots would get their revenge against the Seahawks just over two years later when Tom Brady threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns and Malcolm Butler made arguably the biggest play in Super Bowl history to preserve a 28-24 victory and the franchise's fourth title since 2001.
Things aren't much different for the Patriots in 2016. They were supposed to struggle out of the gate with Brady suspended for four games, but instead they went 3-1 during that stretch.
Since Brady returned, he's completed 73.1 percent of his passes for 1,319 yards with 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions in 134 attempts.
One big area in which Brady has improved, per Zac Robinson of Pro Football Focus, is throwing down the field:
"Like he has been in every part of his game, Brady has been extremely efficient with the deep ball, sitting at first in adjusted completion percentage, at 66.7, and passer rating on deep throws, at 143.8. Despite the fewest deep attempts (15), Brady is 14th in deep-passing yards, at 383, and his average yards per deep completion has been 42.5, second only to Ryan Tannehill.
"
The scary thing for opposing defenses is the Patriots only recently started getting full production from tight end Rob Gronkowski after he began the season banged up. He's had at least four catches and 93 yards in each of the last four games, with one touchdown catch in each of the last three games.
For the Seahawks, despite a 5-2-1 start, this season has been a struggle for the team offensively. Seattle did look better in Week 9, scoring 31 points against the Buffalo Bills, and quarterback Russell Wilson had his second multitouchdown game of the season in the win.
The Seahawks enter Sunday's matchup ranked 23rd in scoring and 26th in total offense. One encouraging sign is Jimmy Graham looks like he did during his peak with the New Orleans Saints:
Because Seattle's defense remains stout with the third-fewest points allowed, it doesn't need to have an explosive offense each week.
However, the Seahawks aren't going against the Bills or Arizona Cardinals this week. The Patriots have actually allowed fewer points per game (16.5) than the Seahawks (16.8) this season, so just saying Seattle has a good defense doesn't really help matters this week.
But this is a litmus-test game, particularly for the Seahawks. There's no doubt where the Patriots stand in the NFL hierarchy. They can trade a dynamic linebacker like Jamie Collins without batting an eye.
The Seahawks started to find some rhythm on offense last week, but that was against a Buffalo team that is the NFL version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. A road test against the league's best team will really show us where they stand heading into the season's home stretch.
