NFL Preseason 2016: Week 2 Dates, Ticket and Live Stream Info
Week 2 of the NFL preseason begins Thursday with an intrastate matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers and continues with a slate of interesting matchups and opportunities to see bubble players and rookies prove what they can do.ย
Also featured in the Week 2 lineup is a matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks, two teams that could face off again in the NFC Championship Game as winners of their respective divisions come January.ย
Then there are the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts, two teams that could prove to be AFC heavyweights this season but also have questions surrounding them. Each team's respective quarterback, Joe Flacco and Andrew Luck, missed time with injuries in 2015.ย

Players to Watchย
Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys

One of the biggest names from Week 1 of the preseason was Dallas backup quarterback Dak Prescott. He looked incredible against the St. Louis Rams in their exhibition matchup.
Just to clarify, he didn't just look good as a backup. Prescott looked like the real deal, completing 10 of 12 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns and playing to a quarterback rating of 154.5.
As a result, Cowboys general manager Jerry Jones was excited.
Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram reported that Jones is "all in" on Prescott as Tony Romo's backup heading into the season.ย
"Certainly the way he and [Jameill] Showers played, I wouldnโt consider a backup quarterback situation at all," Jones said after the game, per Hill. "I wouldnโt want to, by any way, deter the progress and the excitement that he can bring to the building of the team and the future."
Prescott will get another chance to impress Jones, coach Jason Garrett and Cowboys fans alike in the team's matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Friday.
Newy Scruggs of NBC Sports Radioย noted thatย executive vice president Stephen Jones said that Romo will play one or two series Friday. But Prescott should get his chance to shine again after Romo exits the game.ย
Ronnie Hillman, RB, Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have a problem that any team would be happy to have...but that doesn't make life any easier for general manager John Elway or coach Gary Kubiak.
The Broncos have a logjam at running back. Behind C.J. Anderson, veteran Ronnie Hillman is struggling to prove he deserves to be the No. 2 back over rookie Devontae Booker and Kapri Bibbs.
As a result, Kubiak is giving Hillman as many snaps as he can in Week 2 of the preseason against the San Francisco 49ers so that the team can evaluate the position.
"Ronnie is in a battle, a helluva battle with Kapri and Book right now," Kubiak said, perย ESPN.com's Dennis Georgatos. "Thereโs no way around that. Iโm just being honest with you."
No doubt Kubiak's words were meant to light a fire under Hillman, who has looked complacent this offseason for someone who may be battling for a roster spot.ย Hillman isn't a huge contributor on special teams, and in Week 1 of the preseason he gained only 13 yards on three attempts.
Needless to say, Hillman better plan on impressing his coach Saturday if he wants to fight for his spot.
Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, New England Patriots

Expectations for Jimmy Garoppolo this preseason changed once Tom Brady lost his appeal for his four-game Deflategate suspension.
Garoppolo went from being a backup who had another offseason training camp and exhibition game schedule to develop his game to a player who is preparing to start one-quarter of a season for one of the league's best teams.ย
No pressure.ย
And speaking of Brady, QB1 has nothing but praise for Garoppolo's preparation.ย
"He works his tail off to prepare, and I know he has the respect of everybody," Brady said, per Tyler Dragon of NFL.com. "That's what you try to do, you try to come out here and prepare, earn the respect of your teammates and your coaches, and you've got to put the work in."
In his first preseason outing against the New Orleans Saints, Garoppolo completed 11 of 18 passes for 168 yards and no touchdowns.ย
Garoppolo, a Chicago-area native, will face the Bears Thursday.ย
