Ben Affleck Passionately Defends Tom Brady in NSFW Rant on Bill Simmons' Show

Bill Simmons' new show, Any Given Wednesday, made its debut on HBO on Wednesday night, and it started with a bang.

The most eyebrow-raising part of the episode was related to Boston sports.

Simmons invited actor Ben Affleck onto his show, and the two Boston diehards got into a lively discussion about Deflategate. As a New England Patriots fan, Affleck defended quarterback Tom Brady and had some choice words for the National Football League.

Simmons' former employee, ESPN, may have taken issue with that segment (Simmons once got suspended by the company for calling NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, among other things, a "liar"), but HBO does not have the same type of partnership with the NFL. In other words, hot discussions like this are fair game.
