Jaguars WR Allen Hurns Revealed to Be Allergic to Grass
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns has what must be one of the most inconvenient allergies in all of football—an allergy to grass.
ESPN.com’s Mike DiRocco wrote an article about the third-year wideout’s problem on Wednesday. According to DiRocco, Hurns found out about his allergy in high school.
Grass doesn’t give him breathing issues, but it can result in rashes on the 24-year-old’s arms and legs. He described it as “more of a nuisance than a problem" and often wears long sleeves and/or tights to prevent contact.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Sometimes I break out. Sometimes I don’t," he told DiRocco. "... At times it gets pretty aggravating, but for the most part it’s been holding up good."
Hurns reeled in 64 receptions for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns opposite Allen Robinson for the Jaguars last season. The formerly undrafted receiver signed a $40 million extension on June 2.
Grass might be annoying Hurns, but it's clearly not holding him back.
