Packers Need Rodgers Healthy for Playoff Push
Rodgers got off to a slow start this season before turning things around in Weeks 7 and 8 against the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons, respectively, when he threw for a combined 572 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions. For the season, Rodgers has 3,074 passing yards and 30 total touchdowns (three rushing) with seven interceptions.
Normally one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the NFL, Rodgers' completion percentage of 64.4 this season is his third-worst mark since becoming the Packers' full-time starter in 2008.
There's no denying Rodgers' importance to the Packers, even when he's not playing at his usual MVP level. The team went 2-4-1 in seven games without the 33-year-old in 2013, only making the playoffs because he returned in Week 17 and connected with Randall Cobb on a 48-yard touchdown with 38 seconds remaining.
The Packers are going to go as far as Rodgers takes them. He's had injury problems in the past but has made every start in the regular season since 2014.
