Colts' Pat McAfee Offers J.J. Watt Punting Lessons, at a Price
Houston Texans star J.J. Watt grabbed headlines last week when he said he will only play football for as long as he can play at a high level. As he prepared to watch the final game of 37-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant's 20-year career on Wednesday, Watt couldn't help but marvel at the Black Mamba.
The Houston defensive end knows there is zero chance he could play for as long as Bryant has. He does, however, appear to be thinking about ways that he could prolong his career.
Punting appears to be the most logical option:

Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee apparently saw Watt's timeline and came up with an interesting offer:
It'd be tough for Watt to explain to his teammates that he'd essentially be taking two games off a year just to get free punting lessons. If you're McAfee, though, it doesn't hurt to extend the offer. The worst that can happen is that it gets rejected. If Watt accepts the deal, McAfee just pulled off an all-timer.
The only way McAfee's offer could backfire on him is if Watt ultimately became a punter and took his job—but that's probably not something he has to worry about.
