Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Bills CB Stephon Gilmore Trade Instagram Shots

Kyle NewportApr 10, 2016

There's no love lost between New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Buffalo Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

That much was obvious when the two went head-to-head on the field last season, and it was clear on Instagram when the two football players took to social media to trade some shots.

Gilmore grabbed headlines last year when he called Beckham, per Tyler Dunne of the Buffalo News, a "prima donna" following a 24-10 loss to the Giants, a game in which the New York wideout was held to just 38 yards (and no touchdowns) on five catches in the game.

Beckham responded to the Buffalo defensive back's comments, per Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, by saying that players on the losing team shouldn't be talking trash after a game.

All of that set the stage for some offseason Instagram drama.

Beckham got things started by posting the following picture on Instagram with "It ain't a moment till u make it..." as his caption:

Coincidence or not, Gilmore was the cornerback in the photo—and you better believe he noticed.

The Bills veteran responded to the Giants star's picture with one of his own:

The Instagram war would continue, although they would both wind up deleting their later photos. However, Twitter user @MikeKing00 managed to get screenshots of the posts:

Both Beckham and Gilmore would tweet later Saturday night:

With that, the war of words ended—at least for now.
