2016 NFL Mock Draft: 1st-Round Predictions for Top Prospects After Week 15
With no clear-cut No. 1 pick, the 2016 NFL draft could be an interesting one. There's no can't-miss quarterback, but there are plenty of talented players on both sides of the ball.
Traditional powers will be represented well in the first round, but a few players from non-Power Five conferences could squeeze their way into the top round.
The order is going to change after the outcome of Week 15's Monday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints, but let's take a look at the projected first-round picks as well as some analysis of a few top prospects.

Lynch Could Finally Be The Answer In Cleveland
Congratulations on a great season, Paxton Lynch, you're going to...the Cleveland Browns.
It hasn't been a great place for quarterbacks over the years, just ask Johnny Manziel, but Lynch is a big, strong quarterback who can move well with his 6'7'', 245-pound frame and has thrown 28 touchdowns and just three interceptions so far this season.
The Browns may be 3-11 and limping into the offseason again, but Lynch would be joining a nice group of pass-catchers in 2016.
Travis Benjamin is turning in to a solid receiver, Gary Barnidge has top-tier tight end talent and if Josh Gordon can get back on track after his suspension, Lynch could have fun in Cleveland.
| Travis Benjamin | 13 | 58 | 867 | 5 |
| Gary Barnidge | 13 | 65 | 901 | 8 |
| Josh Gordon* | 14 | 87 | 1,646 | 9 |
He can't do anything about a defense allowing nearly 28 points per game, but the offense in Cleveland could be fun to watch in the near future.
Coleman Conjures Memories of Greatest Show On Turf
When the St. Louis Rams had Kurt Warner throwing the ball to Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce and handing it off to Marshall Faulk in the early 2000s, they were dubbed the Greatest Show on Turf.
Those days are long gone, but Baylor's Corey Coleman could bring back some of that highlight-reel feel to the Rams.
The Biletnikoff Award winner for best wide receiver and unanimous All-American had 74 receptions, 1,363 yards and 20 touchdowns before being ruled out of this month's Russell Athletic Bowl with a sports hernia.
Before he was inured, it was athletic plays like this that had NFL fans clamoring for their team to add him to the roster, per SB Nation:
He's roughly three inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter than Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver and fellow first-round prospect Laquon Treadwell, but his speed, agility and ability to get open down the field should provide plenty of NFL highlights.
Houston Could Have Something Cooking At Quarterback
Lynch and Jared Goff have received most of the attention in regard to quarterbacks in the draft, but Connor Cook could go in the first round as well.
The Houston Texans are hurting at quarterback, and the senior will bring experience to a team that is stacked on the defensive side of the ball and in need of someone to throw to emerging star DeAndre Hopkins.
He has thrown 24 touchdowns and just five interceptions for a Michigan State Spartans team playing in the second annual College Football Playoff.
Cook has recently taken some heat from NFL scouts regarding his character, according to ESPN draft expert Todd McShay (per
"There are multiple people that have some concern about how he carries himself, and what kind of teammate he is and those sorts of things. There's a lot of digging that will go on between now and the draft. I don't know specifically what's going to come out, and why there are these things out there.
The one thing we have is that this guy, with all the statistics, with all the great things he's done and playing that position, was not named a captain, so it kind of started there, and there's been a lot of talk form NFL scouts about some of those concerns.
"
That is certainly a concern, but as McShay said, it only takes one team to like him, and with the Texans using three quarterbacks this season—none who were particularly effective—Houston could be that team.
