Titans QB Marcus Mariota Records NFL's Longest Run of Season with 87-Yard TD
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota dominated college football teams by using both his arm and his legs, and Sunday, he let the Jacksonville Jaguars know he can continue to be a dual-threat quarterback in the NFL.
Mariota couldn't find an open receiver on a 3rd-and-7 from the Titans' 13-yard line midway through the fourth quarter, so he took off with the football. And he couldn't be caught—for 87 yards.
The Titans quarterback avoided a tackle near the line of scrimmage and followed his blockers all the way down the field. The Jaguars had a couple of chances to attempt a tackle near the end of the run but were unable to make a play.
