Ray Rice Comments on Greg Hardy, Future in the NFL
Ray Rice derailed his NFL career after a 2014 domestic violence incident, and the former Baltimore Ravens running back provided some advice Thursday regarding how Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy can avoid a similar fate.
According to A.J. Perez of USA Today, Rice suggested on WFAN's Boomer & Carton Show that Hardy should show remorse and become active in the campaign against domestic violence:
"One thing I would encourage Greg (to do) is to take a deeper look into what the severity of domestic violence is. It's better late than never. You have to be sincere in your actions. Show it on and off the field. Take that uniform and use it for what it’s worth. You don't have to win another football game, you don't need another dollar to go out and make a difference in other peoples' lives.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Rice was suspended indefinitely by the NFL and was subsequently released by the Ravens last year after video surfaced showing him striking his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City elevator.
Hardy was found guilty of assaulting and communicating threats to his former girlfriend, Nicole Holder, but the charges were dismissed upon appeal after Holder didn't make herself available for testimony.
The former Pro Bowler missed all but one game in the 2014 season after being placed on the commissioner's exempt list, and he was suspended for the first four games of the 2015 campaign.
Hardy recently has come under fire once again after Diana Moskovitz of Deadspin released photos of a badly bruised Holder after the alleged domestic incident with Hardy.
Rice has attempted to rehabilitate his image, and he has spoken out against domestic violence, but no NFL team has signed him since his release.
While Rice still wants to return to the NFL in a playing capacity, he wants to have some involvement with the league even if he isn't given a second chance, per the Boomer & Carton Show (h/t Perez):
"I've been trying to stay in football shape, staying ready and doing what I have to do. I let the agents take care of that part. It is something I'm going to keep pushing to do. I do want to play football again. If I don't have a second chance on the field with the NFL, I would love to work with them to help make a difference, speak to rookies or anybody else they wanted me to. I know I can make a difference.
"
Rice has been saying all the right things, which is something Hardy has undoubtedly struggled with in the face of criticism.
