Aaron Rodgers Comments on Fan Who Interrupted Moment of Silence
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers criticized a fan at Lambeau Field who made a derogatory comment during a moment of silence before Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Rodgers addressed the situation in his postgame press conference, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk:
"I think it's important to do things like that, we're a connected world, you knowâsix degrees of separation. I must admit, though, I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was who made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate during the moment of silence. It's that kind of prejudicial ideology that I think puts us in the position that we're in today as a world.

The moment of silence was being held to honor victims of Friday's terror attacks in Paris. Smith's report indicates the fan made a negative remark toward Muslims, either saying "death to Muslims" or "Muslims suck."
Whatever the case, the comment was unnecessary and unfortunate. It's good to see Rodgers, the face of the franchise and one of the most prominent players in NFL history, taking a stand against fans making such remarks.
Hopefully his words will cause fans to think before speaking in the future.
