Football Player Gets Meeting with Browns GM After Holding Sign Outside Team HQ
All Monte Gaddis is asking for is a chance to show the Cleveland Browns what he can do.
Even though it may have seemed like a long shot when he started, he's getting that chance. Well, kind of.
Gaddis—who walked on at Maryland and also was a scholarship player at Towson University—has been standing outside of the Browns' headquarters in Berea, Ohio, with a sign the past three days, rain or shine.

Of course, this sort of thing has been done before. Last week, we saw a wide receiver do the same thing in hopes of getting a tryout with the Houston Texans. However, Gaddis appears to be getting a look from the Browns.
Browns general manager Ray Farmer walked over to Gaddis on Wednesday and had a meeting with the linebacker prospect. That's when the Cleveland native got the opportunity of a lifetime.
Farmer asked Gaddis to send over some game film the next day, and as he told Cleveland 19, he went right home and did it that day.
He may not have a tryout yet, but it's a start.
The NFL isn't handing out spots to anyone who wants one. The film that Gaddis sends to Farmer is going to have to impress the Browns in order for him to get a look.
For now, at least he has some hope.
