Week 10 NFL Picks: Latest Betting Odds, Vegas Spreads and Projections
Week 10 of the NFL season is a great chance for bettors to make coin by battling the odds out of Las Vegas.
But only if bettors know where to look.
This time last week, plenty of folks jumped on board with the Atlanta Falcons over the San Francisco 49ers by about five points. The latter wound up winning, something bettors could have seen coming if they analyzed the former's habit of playing down to the competition.

Early Odds to Bet
Jacksonville at Baltimore (-5.5)

Does this line look familiar?ย
It has shades of the Falcons-49ers reference from the intro, and for good reason. At first glance, it's easy to concur with Las Vegas, roll with the Baltimore Ravens over the Jacksonville Jaguars and call it a day.
It'd be a huge mistake. Baltimore sits with just two wins for good reason. The Ravens have won those games by three points apiece, but they also lost every game they have played against a competitive teamโand dropped an overtime decision to the Cleveland Browns.
Granted, Jacksonville is a two-win team, too. But the Jaguars have looked more competitive each time out behind the arm of Blake Bortles, who has 17 touchdowns to 10 interceptions and has the most balanced offense the franchise has seen in years around him.
Gone are the days where Baltimore dwarfs anyone in terms of defense, as the Jaguars let up fewer yards per game (357.8), passing yards (263.5) and rushing yards (94.3) than the Ravens.ย
Road game or not, look for the Jaguars to slow the Ravens just enough for Bortles and Co. to come out ahead.
Prediction: Jaguars 21, Ravens 20
Detroit at Green Bay (-13)
Sometimes, though, Las Vegas hits a game right on the head.ย
Such would be the case in the impending blowout between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
Detroit's done in every sense of the word, sitting at 1-7 and having just taken a 45-10 whipping at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs back in Week 8 before a bye. Now the team has to hit the road to Lambeau Field, where it lost 30-20 last season even with a much more competent team.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will come out angry after losing two in a row, too. The two road losses came against contenders Denver and Carolina, but it won't stop the Packers from running up this result with the division suddenly a serious race with Minnesota.
โThe one obvious component of our offense that is not where it needs to be [is], weโre not in a rhythm,โ Packers coach Mike McCarthy said, per ESPN.com's Jason Wilde.
Green Bay's still posting better than 25 points per game going into a matchup with a defense allowing more than 30. Even in the face of a tough Carolina defense last week, Rodgers still threw for 369 yards and four scores, so returning home for a cupcake matchup should produce similar results.
Detroit won't be able to stop it, and what's even scarier is the fact the offense averages the fewest rushing yards per game at 69.6. As if it wasn't easy enough to tell the Lions would sling it in hopeless fashion all day, right?
Prediction: Packers 30, Lions 17
New England (-8) at New York Giants
Tom Brady vs. Eli Manning has a nice ring to it, right?ย
It should, especially when putting this one into greater context, as ESPN's Adam Schefter did:
That should change this time around. Manning and the Giants look good, especially with Manning tossing 19 touchdowns to six interceptions despite the fact his ground game averages 3.8 yards per carry.
It's apparent from the schedule thus far, though, that the Giants fold against elite offenses, hence their losses coming at the hands of Dallas (when healthy), Atlanta, Philadelphia and New Orleans.
Brady and Co. happen to have an elite offense. The Patriots sit at 8-0 behind a league-best 34.5 points per game mostly thanks to Brady's 22 touchdowns to two interceptions. It's important to note, though, that the New England defense has only let up more than 20 points four times and more than 30 just once.
In other words, Brady's roll will continue against an exploitable defense. New York's won't as it has to fall into a one-dimensional attack that simply hasn't worked when countered with an equally capable or better offense.
Prediction: Patriots 33, Giants 20
