Eddie George has won the Heisman Trophy, made four Pro Bowls, played in a Super Bowl and graced the cover of EA Sports' Madden 2001 video game. Even with all of those accomplishments, the former running back is about to step onto a whole new stage: Broadway.

George will be performing in a seven-week stint of the Broadway musical Chicago, playing the role of lawyer Billy Flynn.

According to Amy Stumpfl of the Tennesseean, the former Tennessee Titans star has quite the on-stage resume since retiring from football. Stumpfl lists God's TrombonesOthello, Julius Caesar and The Whipping Man as some of George's previous works.

Last year, George talked to ThePostGame about the similarities and differences between football and on-stage performances:

The former Ohio State Buckeyes star's "second act" was also detailed on 60 Minutes Sports last year:

The 42-year-old George's acting experience should help ease his transition from the gridiron to Broadway. That's where the best of the best go, and the former NFL Pro Bowler will have to continue to prove himself.

George will make his Broadway debut on Jan. 11.
