Last-Minute Lines to Bet
Atlanta (-5.5) at Tennessee

It's interesting that the Atlanta Falcons aren't favored by at least a touchdown hereโroad encounter or not.ย
After all, the Tennessee Titans are losers of four straight and just took a 38-10 whipping at the hands of the formerly hapless Miami Dolphins. To make matters worse, quarterback Marcus Mariota will miss the contest after suffering a knee injury against Miami, according to NFL.com's Kevin Patra.
Granted, the Falcons are coming off a 10-point loss against the New Orleans Saints, but divisional clashes with the Saints don't come easy. It went down on a Thursday night, too, so the Falcons have had extra time to prepare for this one.
With Matt Ryan completing 65.5 percent of his passes and flanked by Devonta Freeman, owner of 505 rushing yards and nine scores already, it's hard to imagine the Falcons having a hard time against the league's 28th-ranked run defenseโwhich is letting up an average of 129.6 yards per game.
Look for the Falcons to ride Freeman to a routine win against a team that will be led by backup signal-caller Zach Mettenberger, who hasn't had much time to prepare for the matchup.
Prediction: Falcons win 30-17.
Dallas at New York Giants (-3.5)
The Dallas Cowboys will play at least one more game without Dez Bryant, per ESPN.com's Todd Archer.
For shame, too, because the Cowboys hardly escaped the New York Giants at home in Week 1, winning 27-26 despite having Bryant in the lineup and Tony Romo under center.
In that game, Giants signal-caller Eli Manning didn't throw a touchdown pass, and his defense allowed Romo to gun for 356 yards and a trio of scores, including the late game-winning toss.
Things look different this time around.
The Giants shouldn't have any problems upending a team that has lost three in a row and will trot out Matt Cassel under center. New York looked rough in a 27-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but Manning is hitting on 66 percent of his passes with 11 scores and only four picks. He should be able to hit Odell Beckham Jr. and others in the comforts of his home field.
Dallas won't be able to keep pace here. Cassel isn't much of an upgrade over Brandon Weeden, and he won't have the team's top receiving threat to lean on. Struggling to find answers in the running game, the coaching staff will have to turn to Christine Michael in the backfield.
This one is as obvious as it looks: The Giants will cruise at home.
Prediction: Giants win 30-20.
Philadelphia at Carolina (-3)

The Carolina Panthers might be the NFL's biggest surprise, sitting at 5-0 thanks to an MVP performance from Cam Newton under center and an elite defense that is allowing just 338.0 yards per game.
Despite the accolades and praise, though, it sounds as though the Panthers would rather think of their success as a target on their backs.
"We've got to get ready for (Philadelphia). That's what it is all about," linebacker Luke Kuechly said, per ESPN.com. "You've got to have a short-term memory regardless of the outcome (from the previous week)."
The Eagles have turned it on as of late, winning each of their last two games by more than two scores. Quarterback Sam Bradford has thrown three touchdowns and five picks in that span, but the coaching staff has finally discovered the presence of running back DeMarco Murray, who scored in each of the victories.
But therein lies the problem for the Eagles: Even in wins, Bradford hasn't been able to take care of the football. Now he has to travel to Carolina and take on one of the league's best defenses, a unit that is capable of keying in on Murray and forcing turnovers through the air.
Newton went on the road a week ago and picked up two scores in an upset win over the Seattle Seahawks to keep his team undefeated. He won't have issues with the Philadelphia defense, nor will his defense have any problems shutting down a turnover-prone quarterback en route to a home win.
Prediction: Panthers win 24-17.
