Injury Adds to Rough Season for Luck, Colts
Three days after the Colts' Week 3 victory over the Tennessee Titans, Pagano revealed Luck had a right shoulder injury. The signal-caller was day to day at the time, but the ailment caused him to sit out two games. Entering Week 9, the Colts are 3-5 but in first place in the AFC South.
Although he's displayed a knack for coming through in the clutch, Luck has also been prone to turnovers. For the season, he has thrown for 1,629 yards and 13 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
Veteran Matt Hasselbeck is the next man up to run the show should Luck miss any more games this season. Hasselbeck has thrown for 495 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions this season.
Indianapolis is almost entirely dependent on Luck's ability to manufacture plays due to an inconsistent running game, shabby pass protection and a lackluster defense. Obvious passing situations make him susceptible to punishment, and it appears as though the hits are adding up.
