2016 NFL Mock Draft: 1st-Round Predictions for Top Prospects After Week 3
Week 3 in the NFL is almost complete, and a few fanbases are already looking ahead to the 2016 NFL draft.
Fortunately for those already throwing in the towel, the 2016 draft class is shaping up to be a strong group, and many of the top prospects are off to fast starts and solidifying high grades.
The season is in its infancy, so don't worry too much about the draft order. It's based on a combination of early results and preseason expectations, and much will change as the season plays out.
But while the order may change, many of these elite prospects should remain in the first-round discussion in the months leading up to April's draft.

Notable Early Projections
1. Chicago Bears: Jared Goff

Jay Cutler has worn out his welcome in Chicago, and his recent injury may push the Bears high enough in the draft to make selecting his replacement a possibility.
There wasn't a clear-cut target among the quarterbacks in this draft class entering the season, but Jared Goff seems to have separated himself from the group.
"Four Chicago Bears scouts here to watch the UW/Cal game...guessing that Cal QB Jared Goff is the big attraction...but I could be wrong
— Scott Eklund (@ScottEklund) September 26, 2015"
Goff's accuracy sets him apart and helps make up for his otherwise modest physical tools.
While he isn't a slam-dunk No. 1 selection, the Bears need to rebuild and should take the best quarterback on the board if possible.
5. Tennessee Titans: Laremy Tunsil

The first step in rebuilding is to find a franchise quarterback. The next step is to protect him.
Laremy Tunsil and Ronnie Stanley are the premier linemen in this draft class, and either one would be a great fit in Tennessee.
The Titans would pair Tunsil with 2014 first-round selection Taylor Lewan to give Marcus Mariota the bookend tackles he'll need to stay on his feet in the pocket for years to come.
Depending on how the draft order plays out, Tunsil and Stanley are both viable options to go No. 1 overall.
7. New Orleans Saints: Jalen Ramsey

While the New Orleans Saints will likely rebound once Drew Brees returns, their defense remains a mess.
Jalen Ramsey and Vernon Hargreaves III are the two premier cornerbacks in this class, and both could probably show up in New Orleans tomorrow and start for the Saints.
"Florida State CB Jalen Ramsey has allowed just 1 catch on 9 targets for 8 yards in three games this season.
— CFB Film Room (@CFBFilmRoom) September 25, 2015"
If the Saints land in the top 10, they'll have to think long and hard about finding Brees' eventual replacement, but if the front office wants to take another shot at competing with Brees at the helm, an instant-impact defender is the way to go.
21. Buffalo Bills: Josh Doctson

While he was on the radar entering the season, Josh Doctson is one of the fastest-rising draft prospects.
With 18 receptions for 267 yards against Texas Tech, Doctson made sure everyone took notice of the monster season he's having for the Horned Frogs.
"How's this for crazy: Josh Doctson became the first TCU WR with at least 10 receptions in a game since... Trevone Boykin in 2013.
— Bryan Fischer (@BryanDFischer) September 27, 2015"
Sammy Watkins is a nice weapon for Tyrod Taylor, but the Buffalo Bills need to add another threat to the offense.
Doctson is intriguing because of his ability to win in multiple ways. He's explosive after the catch on quick-strike routes, but he is a weapon down the field as well.
