The NFL season is finally here. It feels like it's been forever.

NFL jersey season, however, is year-round. There's no better way to show support for the team and the players you love than to proudly drape their number on your back. And NFL fans are all about it.

But who are the undisputed kings of NFL jersey sales? Let's break down the top defensive players at the start of the season.

No. 10: Eric Berry, Kansas City Chiefs

One of the best stories in the NFL, Eric Berry is back in football after beating Hodgkin lymphoma. Just nine months after he was diagnosed, Berry has been cleared for football activity.

It's no surprise that fans are showing their support and celebrating him by buying his jersey.

No. 9: Clay Matthews, Green Bay Packers

With his signature long locks, big personality, Pitch Perfect 2 cameo and playmaking ability, Clay Matthews has been a fan favorite in Green Bay for a long time.

No. 8: Kiko Alonso, Philadelphia Eagles

One of the newest members of the Eagles this season, Alonso is already making a name for himself. Getting traded for LeSean McCoy is not an easy position to be in, but it seems like fans are already accepting him as a big part of the organization moving forward.

This would probably be higher if so many Jets fans didn't already have a Revis jersey in their closet. Needless to say, fans are excited to be back on Revis Island in New York.

If we're being honest, there's not a ton to get excited about when you're talking about the Redskins, but Ryan Kerrigan is the exception to the rule.

If you're looking to get a Washington player's jersey, a guy who hasn't missed a game in the past four years and just turned in a career year with 13.5 sacks is as good a purchase as you can make these days.

No. 5: Ndamukong Suh, Miami Dolphins

Ndamukong Suh was the prized free-agent signing of 2015, and Dolphins fans have every right to be pumped about his arrival. And with his giant contract, it's a safe bet that he's going to be in Miami for the long haul.

No. 4: Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks

Loud, bold and confident, Richard Sherman has the ability and talent to back every single one of his words up. He's hated by opposing fans and loved by Seahawks supporters. For every 12th Man jersey you see in Seattle, you'll see even more shirts bearing No. 25.

No. 3: Donte Whitner, Cleveland Browns

Don't be surprised if you see Browns fans alter this jersey, covering up the "W" as Whitner famously declared he was changing his last name to Hitner after being fined for a big hit in 2013 while with the San Francisco 49ers.

Now with the Browns, he has since kept his original name, as well as the hitting ability that made him famous.

No. 2: Luke Kuechly, Carolina Panthers

Panthers fans chant this every time Luke Kuechly makes a big play, so you're basically hearing it all game long. No one on Carolina is more beloved than he is, and the jersey sales prove it.

The sweet, new Browns jerseys are helping the cause of two of their players being in the top three in defensive jersey sales, but let's be honest: Joe Haden has something to do with it himself.
