
Washington Redskins Skip Robert Griffin III in Jersey Countdown
This one involves the team's "Countdown to Kickoff"—an innocuous little thing they've been doing on social media to get their mind off anything but the present, where everything is somehow already terrible.
The Washington Post's Dan Steinberg noticed that the Redskins' countdown, which uses player jerseys to denote how many days remain until the regular season begins, jumped tracks for a second when it reached the 10-day mark:

Huh. That's weird. Trent Williams isn't No. 10, but I guess anything is better than acknowledging that Robert Griffin III is still alive after head coach Jay Gruden fed him to the (Detroit) Lions this preseason.
It's understandable from a liability point. The Redskins social media team probably doesn't want to be an accessory to attempted murder, so I get that connecting themselves to their former starting quarterback is not a risk worth taking right now.
I guess we'll have to see if they let Griffin dress this season or just place him in storage on the edge of town.
