Jeremy Maclin, James O'Shaughnessy Post-Preseason Week 2 Fantasy Advice
Friday night offered another look at Jeremy Maclin in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform, and so far the early returns are encouraging.
As expected, Maclin didn't play much past the first quarter of what proved to be a 14-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks, but he was effective when he was on the field. You can view his stats below:

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
His touchdown grab was notable since it ended an over yearlong drought for Alex Smith (via the NFL):
Bleacher Report's Cian Fahey also liked the ways in which Andy Reid used his newest wideout:
"Lining Maclin up in the backfield during preseason, Andy Reid ain't playing fair.

Maclin is undoubtedly a big upgrade for the Chiefs and helps their passing attack, but your fantasy expectations for him should be somewhat tempered. Only once in his six-year career has he eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving, and you don't envision him posting gaudy numbers with Smith as his quarterback.
The 27-year-old is a great flex option if you can snag him that late in the draft.
A name to watch going forward is James O'Shaughnessy. The rookie tight end caught what proved to be the go-ahead TD pass:

If you're unfamiliar with O'Shaughnessy's work, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox wrote an in-depth piece on the former Illinois State standout.
You'll obviously want to watch more of O'Shaughnessy over the remainder of the preseason, but he is worth following in case Travis Kelce should go down with an injury at some point this year.
It will also be intriguing to see how Kansas City utilizes him in red zone packages and two tight-end sets, as Smith has favored tight ends in the passing game in previous years, dating back to his time in San Francisco with Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker.
