Freddie Freeman Injury: Updates on Braves Star's Oblique and Return
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman returned to the lineup on Aug. 19, after suffering from wrist and oblique injuries that have kept him out of action since Aug. 3.
On Wednesday, the Braves announced first baseman Joey Terdoslavich was sent to Triple-A Gwinnett to make room for Freeman on the active roster.
On Aug. 15, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reported on Saturday that Freeman said both his wrist and oblique are "100 percent."

"I haven't felt this good in August in a few years, so it's definitely a nice feeling," Freeman said, per McAlpin.
Freeman has been out of action since leaving during an Aug. 3 contest against the San Francisco Giants. Freeman missed one month from the middle of June through the All-Star break with a bruised right wrist that required a platelet-rich plasma injection. He was having a strong season up to that point, boasting an .887 OPS when the Braves put him on the DL.
That number has since fallen to .848, with Freeman totaling 14 home runs and 45 runs batted in, both of which lead the team.
Considering all of the moves Atlanta's front office made during the offseason, Freeman's presence in the middle of the lineup is more important than ever.
