According to Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com, New York Jets safety Kerry Rhodes is publicly claiming that the Jets fans will be told a major announcement within the following days.

He said the announcement will please New York Jets fans to the maximum.

These hints were dropped on Kerry Rhodes twitter page yesterday.

Rhodes went on to say that the rumor had nothing to do with Denver Broncos wide receiver, Brandon Marshall.

Many have speculated the Jets will be acquiring Marshall for Kevin O'Connell and a 2010 first-round-pick.

New York traded for O'Connell from the Detroit Lions who claimed him off waivers after he was released by the New England Patriots.

All in all, O'Connell could be on his fourth team in a matter of two weeks.

The Broncos suspended Brandon Marshall a couple weeks back after his immature actions at the teams practice.

Marshall was not jogging like the rest of the team. He, also, swatted down passes instead of catching them, and kicked the ball instead of handing it over to the Broncos ball boy.

As of yesterday, Marshall was re-instated to the Denver Broncos team as promises by head coach Josh McDaniels.

The New York Jets have been in need of a receiver ever since they released their former No. 1 receiver, Laveranues Coles.

Brandon Marshall has stated many times that he wants to be traded immediately, or else he will not participate in the Broncos games or other team activities.

As a Broncos fan, I would like to see Brandon get his act together and remain with the team.

Will this happen?

Only god knows whether or not Brandon will end up playing with the Broncos in 2009.

Marshall is one of the most talented young receivers in the game today. Over the past two years he has a combined 206 catches.

Brandon was drafted in the fourth round with the 119th pick in the 2006 draft out of Central Florida.

He spent some of his time in college playing as a safety rather than wide receiver.

Whether or not Kerry Rhodes is talking about Marshall being traded to the Jets, this situation creates excitement to look forward to.

Hopefully, this doesn't turn out to be a joke or something that Kerry Rhodes has over-hyped just to get some of the spot-light on himself.
