Freddie Freeman Injury: Updates on Braves Star's Wrist and Return
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman has been reinstated from the DL and will join the team against the Cardinals, the team announced Saturday. Freeman suffered a right wrist injury June 17 against the Boston Red Sox and went on the 15-day disabled list June 23.
On July 20, it was revealed the first baseman was feeling "great" after hitting off a tee and completing two rounds of soft-toss, according to David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Freeman's road to full fitness has been a long one, as the team announced his injury was slow to heal on July 15, per O'Brien.
