Geno Smith and Brandon Marshall Are Rooming Together to Build Chemistry
The New York Jets did a wise thing in March and brought in wide receiver Brandon Marshall in the hopes of kick-starting an offense that spent most of last season writhing on the ground and hawking up turnovers.
But bringing in outside talent isn't an instant tonic, and knowing the difficulties quarterbacks and receivers can have adjusting to one another, Jets quarterback Geno Smith and Marshall are living together to speed up the chemistry-building process.
The New York Post's Brian Costello brings news of the living arrangement. Costello writes that Marshall moved into Smith's home in New Jersey and has been living there for the last four weeks or so:

"To help accelerate the chemistry between he and Smith, Marshall moved in with Smith in New Jersey. The two have been living together for the past month. Marshall said he and Smith first met a few years ago and they bonded. The duo got together in South Florida shortly after the trade in March to work out.

Now, this seems like a high-risk/high-reward proposition.
On one hand, you've got the chance this is somehow beneficial. Maybe Smith and Marshall living together means they'll talk about how Smith is going to overthrow the ball a lot, and Marshall needs to prepare to levitate to get to it.

Conversely, nothing incubates good old-fashioned contempt for your fellow man like passive-aggressive notes about the dishes. You start as friends, but next thing you know you're arguing over utilities and who got drunk and broke the screen door.
Whatever happens, I hope it leads to a sitcom: "One's a dreamer who wears his heart on his sleeve, and the other's a gunslinger stuck in an unending loop of existential despair. Together, they're Geno & Marsh—weeknights on the WB."
Good luck, you two. And don't be the guy who won't unload the dishwasher.
Dan is on Twitter. Roommates are just friends you've learned to despise.
