NFL, AFC West, Oakland Raiders, Oakland Raiders, Lane Kiffin, Fantasy

Over the past few weeks I have read many Oakland Raider articles written by the Raider Nation, Sports analysts and those who despise the black & silver. To be honest, I am the writer who is part of the Nation of Raiders.... I don't get paid for my opinions and don’t have to worry about my job on the line.

I don't worry about grammar mistakes or punctuation. But I take great pride in my knowledge of football and in particular with the Oakland Raiders.

So if your not a Raider Fan listen to the words of a loyal contributor, embrace my wisdom or laugh at my loyalty, because either way your still reading.

For the Past five seasons the Oakland Raiders have done badly. Actually, let me re-word that. In the last five seasons the Oakland Raiders have been such an embarrassment in the NFL that it has left the PROUD Raider Nation silent, a PROUD OWNER hidden and confused, and a PROUD team accepting losses.

So did anything change last season?

Well, I suppose there was a new vibe in Oakland with the new personality of Head Coach Lane Kiffin. But did it work?

I mean how could a kid for a Head Coach come into one of the most prideful winning organizations and sell a system the team would believe in?

Well.... on paper he didn't. He failed. He failed Al Davis, the Raider Nation and succeeded for all Raider degrades. After all his preaching of 'I’m In' and blah blah blah the Oakland Raiders only won four games.

What a waste of another year for the Black & Silver, well, you know what that means. Fire him and hire a new coach. Pick 'em out of a hat for all the league cares.

I definitely would fire Coach Kiffin and bring in a new coach, if I was a complete idiot.

If I was negatively biased of the Oakland Raiders....If I couldn’t see that the flame of Kiffin is still burning in the Oakland Raiders. Understand that Lane Kiffin inherited the mess of 4 previous coaches who really cared less about the team.

They were more concerned with calling their players 'stupid' rather then addressing their problems and fixing them. Kiffin has brought hope, he has brought a system that shows promise, but more importantly has brought identity to a team.

His attitude is contagious & His charisma is undeniable. Everyone can easily feel his energy, even the Raider Nation down here in Fresno California. I promise you.

We have an unproven franchise QB in Jamarcus Russell. We have two unproven Franchise RBs in Darren McFadden & Michael Bush. We have an O-line who finally had ONE solid year but still have to prove if the consistency is there. All three of our WR's Curry, Walker, and Carter are proven but remain injury prone. We have a young unproven TE in Miller who we will expect much of.

On the other side of the ball.... We have an unproven amount of Defensive Lineman who we will expect to make an immediate impact. DL, who the NFL seems to think won't be enough.

We have a Safety in Huff who we've been waiting on to produce for years but still hasn't.

Do you really believe the Nation of Raiders are so ignorant, that they believe 'potential' alone wins Super bowls?

We don’t, and we are expecting all of these players to produce and we strongly believe in Kiffin 'n Company to redeem the Oakland Raiders that we remember.....and to that you tremble.

It isn't difficult to see that you feel the presence of the beginning of our return, and to that I say....the Raider Nation will always embrace more fans!

God bless and long live America and the Nation of Raiders

  1. America is to the world.

What California is to the country

What the Raiders are to the NFL.

They all hate us because they wish they were us!!!

    One NATION... RAIDER NATION!!!

    Can You Feel it!!!!!

  2. OH... I'm gonna hear it on this one LOL!!!

  3. Kiffin wanted competition for his players, well he (Kiffin) got it too. Al went and hired James Loften to learn the system if Kiffin fails this year. Al has given him all the tools on offense, and Al has taken responsibility of the defense by keeping Rob Ryan and the defensive line intact. In all this chaos, I think tha Raiders have a chance to win the division this year. I feel something special for the first time in years.

    S&Bpoet

  4. It's Silver & Black, not black & silver...

  5. Your right blaster, how could i get the wrong colors of my team! Thx for the insight

  6. You said "After all his preaching of 'I'm in" it was all a smoke screen, and the team won a measely 4 games"

Well, Real Mice Wear Black, for once I completely agree with you. Was a bonified disaster, both on the field, and off...a PR meltdown of epic proportions.

But..but...then Hyde part of that Jerkyl and Hyde team seemed determined to say his piece.

You correctly stated "He should be fired" BUT added "IF I WAS A COMPLETE IDIOT..IF I WAS NEGATIVELY BAISED"

Uh....Mice??? Al Davis WROTE UP HIS RESIGNATION AND HANDED IT TO HIM TO SIGN!!!.
He not only wanted him GONE, but was hoping he would be stupid enough to sign the paper so Al wouldn't have to pay him.

Now, I'm SURE you have a good reason for stating to one and all that Al Davis IS A COMPLETE IDIOT AND IS NEGATIVELY BAISED." (your words, not mine)

You also stated "Kiffin's attitude is contagious & His charisma is undeniable. Everyone can easily feel his energy, "

I guess you meant everyone except Al???
Oh, and uh...is it just me or does Lame look even more dead on the sidelines than Art Shell did??
Does he ever talk? TO ANYONE?? No exchanges with coaches? Nothing said to players?? As earlier stated, Sapp has a complete total meltdown, penalty after penalty after penalty, costing the Raiders big time, and Lame just stood and watched..NEVER SAYING A SINGLE WORD???
You know..I kind of missed the "attitude" in that...or even 'charisma"..What I saw was a team and player out of control, and no one took control. No one was leading. No one stepped up.

And to what I truly laughed out loud at?? :
Real Mice: Do you really believe the Nation of Raiders are so ignorant, that they believe 'potential' alone wins Super bowls?
We don’t, and we are expecting all of these players to produce and we strongly believe in Kiffin 'n Company to redeem the Oakland Raiders that we remember.....and to that you tremble.

So, LMAO, you're saying all of the team basically has huge holes, players who've never played, players who were signed who were injured like forever, with other players signed who sucked elsewhere, and you have other players who just aren't all that good..BUT..you all BELIEVE IN KIFFIN???

Your OWNER doesn't believe in Kiffin...lol.

The ONLY thing right that Kiffins done was refuse to sign the resignation papers, knowing being fired gets him his final years paycheck.
And now? You're stating "Trust in our LameDuck Coach"??
You're a funny guy, Real Mice...I'll give you that.

Oh....And that "Raiders always have more room for more fans"????
Of course you do. Fans are few and far between....The membership drive is at an all time low, and basically you have your choice of seats in the stadium.

BTW..very odd thread, Real Mice. You insult the hell out of the Raiders..you detail all of their woes, you make it clear you and most don't and shouldn't have a clue on how the Raiders will do, BUT everyone should believe because a coach your owned desperately wanted gone is still around.

I'm sure that makes sense....somewhere....to someone.

    It just has to.

  7. Hang on Real, I got this one.
First of all, I wouldn't believe the "piece of paper" story. Remember the talk about Jamarcus Russell ballooning to 320 pounds? Myth. This whole paper story has all the great earmarks, of the lochness monster...lots of reports, lots of media....very little on evidence and proof.
Sure, Kiffin was mad at Ryan and his defensive fiasco. Sure, Al might be hard to coach under. It's his team, and his choice.
Secondly, is the idea that the Raider fans are few and far between. This is more than funny, this is a riot. One thing that seperates Raider fans from garden variety fans from other teams, is that ability to stay loyal. If times get hard, we remember old times. We enjoy the victories we get. I suppose you weren't watching the screaming fans in Miami, when we beat the Dolphins, or got the feedback from ESPN, when we took down the Broncos in Oakland.....both times, that stadium was packed.....but as well, the fans came out to watch, win or lose.
I'm sure some 49er fans bailed out of the team, when Walsh retired, or when Rice left.....you might even have some deranged fans, who were irate, when Owens left, or Garcia was ditched.
I don't think the Raiders have any signs of sloughing numbers.....if you do, I'd love to see them, and if you do, please tell us an unbiased source on where they came from.

  8. 2 Snoopy....
That is the most Brilliant statement I have read in years!!!
I could not agree more with you...
You summed up what i have been thinking and speaking for years in one little paragraph.
    Smart and very insighful snoopy..
Long live America, Californ I, A, and THE NATION.....
    God Bless.

  9. Oh poor, ignorant niner fan, whats it like being in the NFC worst. I mean being Seattle's treadmill must be great with such a proud franchise as the Niners. Put it this way, before you start talking about the Raiders take a long look at the Niners. What pick was Alex Smith again! That's what I thought, and what happened to Vernon Davis, haven't heard his number in awhile. Now that I think about it how much did they pay Clements again? And what happened to your boy Gore? One year wonder! Maybe you should play Willis both ways. The Niners are at the bottom of a weak division with no signs of light.
    good luck!

    1. Sorry JJ, but you don't count.
Anyone who states Snoopy's take was one of the most brilliant statements they've read in years indicates to me they don't read.
If you had you wouldn't be stating such ignorant crappola.

Now, let me explain how it works.

If someone racks up the Raiders, from the owner on down, NOT ADDRESSING ANY OF THOSE COMMENTS, while rushing over to state 'What about the Niners" means you agree with me.
You're basically saying "Ok, you're right. Now, let's discuss your team."

Now, go ahead, and try it...

"Mike, as usual you are correctamundo, and I thank you for enlightening me as to your wisdom and insight. Pray tell, how do you see the Niners faring as to Smith...Gore....."...

      You get the point.

As far as "Proud franchise such as the Niners"??? You would be dead on.
See, that's one thing you'll see remains steady, is that the Niners franchise is a proud one.

Sure, we're on a rebuilding mode for last few years..as the Raiders are.

Difference is the Raiders are laughed at, scorned, and belittled. You're the butt of jokes because there is NOTHING about the Raiders that is proud..and hasn't been for DECADES.

All you posters can do is bring up Snake, or Plunkett, or Madden...you know, ANCIENT HISTORY. That's it..because your last glory day was way back in the early 80's.

Unfortunately for you, Niners, who's glory days are a decade ago, has won 4 SB's since the Raiders last won one.

Yeah...we suck as of late...but the Raiders??? You suck...and you're sad..from the top down.

But hey, don't feel like you should step up and address anything mentioned..you just keep saying "You're right, Mike. How could I ever doubt you."

Isn't it easier that way for a lot of you?

Look at the slapped on little fools who are reduced to just that...RaiderCard, Real Mice..few others...hiding like little girls, while reduced to rushing to post kiddy takes on my bio page, lol...

Concession speeches are so sweet. I'm sure yours is coming JJ.

  10. Fellas...Fellas...Fellas....

Why must you argue with an arogant Raider Hater. His life is dedicated to HATING the Oakland Raiders, but lets comend him for that because that makes him PART of a Raider life. He has a LOVE/HATE relationship for the franchise and he's not the only one. He's just practicing his first amendment, lets give the lil guy a break he has no legitamate arguements. Let me show you what he does....

    1. Copy/ Paste a line from an Article.... I'll use one of his comments as an example
"Unfortunately for you, Niners, who's glory days are a decade ago, has won 4 SB's since the Raiders last won one."
    2. Rip the line
Well Mike, Unfortunately for you and your niners, you guys seem to be living in the past because your making no strides towards the future.

    or

"Sure, we're on a rebuilding mode for last few years..as the Raiders are."
So your saying the Raiders are in the same boat as the Niners yet you constantly wine about how terrible we are. Your contradicting yourself.

You see its very easy to do what he does. But like I said, lets give the lil guy a break cause he's too cool for school so lets 'let him believe hes right' lol what a funny guy

  11. Interesting.

Clicking on My Profile, I see a little message from RealMice.

Says "I see you left a message. I didn't read it."

    LMAO..so much for that, Mouse.

See..if you're stupid enough to post something that just got ROYALLY TORCHED, and exposed you as a full blown idiot, and THEN goes on and posts a comment that "I'm timid..I didn't read it" how stupid, exactly, do you feel now proving that you did read?

I know...I know...above you made those stupid comments about how only a complete idiot would fire "Lance" Kiffin.
I'm sure it rattled ya a bit when I pointed out your owner wants him gone in a big way, including drawing up his resignation.
    Sorry about that.
I mean, I knew it would fluster you, but didn't know I would have you completely rattled.

Here..want to laugh along with me again?
    Just for you, pumpkin.
We'll laugh at you together :)
    --------------------------------------
And to what I truly laughed out loud at??

    --------------------------------------------------------------
And no, Mouse, I don't expect anything from you except more excuses as to why you left your huevos somewhere, and once you find them, I'm in for it...big time.

You're too easy...."Black and Silver" LMAO.
    that's a first....

"Huh?? Oh...yeah....Silver and Black...I knew it sounded odd"

  12. I almost forgot, when was the last time the Niners made the playoffs? I can't remember either.
Mike YOU my friend are hilarious. Surfing through Raider blogs! You must be a closet fan. It's ok you can come out. The point you make how Al doesn't believe in "Lane" is absurd. How he wrote up resignation papers, blah blah, stop watching NFL network those statements hold no water. If Al wanted Lane gone, trust me he'd be gone. I mean this is the guy who sat Marcus Allen! I can't comment on the article because, well lets just put it this way, black and silver. But what I can comment on his how a Niner fan cares enough to chat about the Raiders. Like I said Raider Mike you can come out now.

  13. Actually, one thing that does stand the test of time, is the media's constant bungling of facts.
How many hear, remember the SI story, of how Jim Brown wanted to come back, and play for the Raiders late in the 1983 season? No kidding, check out America's Team, 1983 Raiders.
Of course, what turned out to be the big blunder, was the thought that the Redskins would clean our clocks that year.
Somewhere, we didn't get the memo, that the Raiders were supposed to fold up like lawn chairs.
Although, I think part of the reason Mike keeps stumbling in here, after being drunk, is he keeps reading articles linking the 49ers and the Raiders, for having bad seasons, back to back to back years. Nothing to be proud of, on their side of the bay.
But Mike can't bring himself to realize, that the 49er are in fact, as bad as the Raiders have been.
After all, the 49ers haven't been to the playoffs since 2002, same with the Raiders.
And which is a worse fate, having an owner who's unable to comprehend the future of the NFL, or an owner, who's unwilling to spend money to improve his team?
How long do you think it will be, before the 49ers decide they better get rid of Frank Gore, for some draft picks?
Look at the bright side. You're not a Lions fan.

  14. RaiderTard: Hang on Real, I got this one.

Mike49er: You HAVE this one? Ae you like the Bobsy Twins or something? I think he's capable of formulating his own reply.

Wait..who we talking about again? Oh, Real Mice...sorry, my bad. He's of the "Post a headline, wait for others to think for me" posters. Well, considering you're of the "tuck tail between legs" poster yourself, Tard, not expecting much.
    =======================================================

First of all, I wouldn't believe the "piece of paper" story. Remember the talk about Jamarcus Russell ballooning to 320 pounds? Myth. This whole paper story has all the great earmarks, of the lochness monster...lots of reports, lots of media....very little on evidence and proof.

Mike49er: 320?? Thought it was 300?? LMAO..see..even you add to the story. Yeah, MORON, everyone knew that was just a fluff report..for that matter, the only ones who got their panties all in a bunch were the whining Raider fans who hate "being picked on".
Wasn't that what you pleaded with me??/ "Stop picking on me"??? Guess it works for your team as well, Tard.
But, you being a sheep and void of original thought, funny as hell you saying "Oh, Al never wanted Kiffin to leave..Lame didn't want to fire Ryan"
I think, for the time being, just because I enjoy laughing at you, we'll NOT discuss the fact that Ryan, IN REPLY TO BEING INFORMED he was ON THE WAY OUT, is on record (You know...that means video) as stating "Not worried. I'll have a job in two days, guaranteed"
Guess you were...uh...what? Out of the country while that went on?
Let me guess...when lame didn't wear a Raider shirt while in the Senior Bowl? Where everyone else wore their teams jerseys...except for Lame that is...I guess that was just an oversight..right?
When Kiffin was asked about being asked to resign, instead of stating 'never happened" his "No comment" tells you what, Ms. Sheep??

Up there with the towel attendant letting Ryan know he might be fired??
    lol...you're such a lemming, Tard.
    ===================================

Sure, Kiffin was mad at Ryan and his defensive fiasco. Sure, Al might be hard to coach under. It's his team, and his choice.

Mike49er: Was that supposed to mean something? Why is it you have such trouble staying on track?
Being spineless doesn't have to mean being clueless.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

Secondly, is the idea that the Raider fans are few and far between. This is more than funny, this is a riot. One thing that seperates Raider fans from garden variety fans from other teams, is that ability to stay loyal.
Mike49er: Saying I can fly doesn't mean i can. Saying you're an astronaut doesn't mean you are. And Tard, all exacting, well kept, well documented facts say Raiders are about as far and few between as anyone can imagine.
The big copout of "We're the absolute worst at selling out is "But...uh...well, hey, I was in Miami, and I got jacked up by a guy wearing a Raider shirt...man...we're everywhere."
    Doesn't work like that.
Every team has fans everywhere...that's why for EVERY GAME, EVERY SUNDAY, REGARDLESS OF THE STADIUM there are rival fans at the game. Now, on your own, without help...what can you deduce from the above comment?
No no, no silly copout whines that you can't understand.
Considering that in EVERY STADIUM ON EVERY FOOTBALL SUNDAY THERE ARE A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT OF THE RIVAL TEAMS FANS IN THE STANDS, can you figure out ON YOUR OWN that there are fans from every team EVERYWHERE????

LOL..why do I know some of you can't grasp that?
It shoots holes in your "but...but...we's da nation...we're everywhere"
Yeah, this country and world has all teams fans everywhere..there's just less of you Raider fans..especially in the last 10 years since Al lost it.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
If times get hard, we remember old times.

Mike49er: Wow...screaming fans???? Holy Crappoly...gee...never say THAT before *rolling eyes*.

And you remember the "old times"?? 1983 is a hell of a long time ago, but I'm sure some can recall it.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure some 49er fans bailed out of the team, when Walsh retired, or when Rice left.....you might even have some deranged fans, who were irate, when Owens left, or Garcia was ditched.

Mike49er: Key phrase is "might". obviously the diehards? Still bought their season tickets...year after year after year...regardless of the coach, or the owner, or the qb..whatever..see...THAT'S A DIEHARD FAN..not a fan who makes excuses because of 'oh lordy, there was dissension in the county" or 'PSL's scared me away" etc. NO ONE left when any of the above happened.
    =========================================

I don't think the Raiders have any signs of sloughing numbers.....if you do, I'd love to see them, and if you do, please tell us an unbiased source on where they came from.

    Mike49er: It's simple math.
Here's a few exerts from NFL.com, Raidersrap, SF Chronicle, Oakland Tribune

    Back in 2000 or so:

Up until the Cards opened their stadium a few years ago, where they played outdoors in 115 degree temp, on metal bleacher seats, they were the only team who had more games blacked out than the Raiders. Since their new stadium, and sold out seasons, the Raiders now own that distinction of most blackouts in last 5 years, and except for the above mentioned Cards, would have the most in the last 10 years as well.

    Does that help?

  15. 49winer get a life....
or continue to envy Raider Fans....
    either way...
we still find you pathetic little man...

  16. You were done before you even started.

The fact that I called it makes you transparent as well, not to mention weak.

    You may go now.

  17. "The fact that I called it makes you transparent as well, not to mention weak."
What is it that your commenting on? You've gone from commenting my articles.... to now commenting me. Im starting to question your motives with me, why do i intrigue you? I feel like your following me around. Mike you need help, you cringe like a ball when others attack your thoughts. You feel threatned and the need to attack when your backs against the wall. You have never made legitamate points and it would be strongly understated to say that your views are stongly biased. You have no credablitly not only for yourself but for anything you do in life. Your mind is as weak as your opinions and the Raider Nation sobs for you and are praying you find a happier life. We all know it must be tough being a Niner fan. I feel sorry for you so i will ALLOW for you to continue to comment and follow me wherever I may go....Go Raiders!

    1. What the hell? lol...uh...Andrea??? YOU inserted a silly little whine directed at me.
      I replied to it.

      Now, who's following who?

Interesting that you pretty much copied MY post to the meek and weak Tard..with the exception of you spelling like crap.

      Now..want to see weak?
Andrea: "You have no credablitly not only for yourself but for anything you do in life"

Now read that and ask yourself if that stupid crap makes you proud??? "anything you do in life'?? Is that supposed to be smack?
What's next, Andrea? lol...damn...I mean YOU post to ME twice..and one reply from me gets you all excited?

Don't play with the big boys, Andrea. Your idiot takes weren't worth the reply the first time. Yes, yes, I know that slight bothered you, but honestly, it's not just that you didn't say anything, but your grasp, or lack there of, of the Kings English leads me to believe you're either not all that bright, or you're a kid.

Either way, a waste of time.
