Marshawn Lynch Biopic Promo Shows Beast Mode's Rise to the Top

Kyle NewportFeb 24, 2015

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch isn't a fan of talking to reporters, but if a camera is on him outside of a football setting, he does seem to be willing to open up.

A promo for a biopic about Beast Mode called Family First has been released. The promo, put together last summer, allows fans to see a bit of what Lynch is like off the field.

Anybody who was looking forward to seeing the Beast Mode biopic is out of luck. Lynch's agent Doug Hendrickson told Kenneth Arthur of Rolling Stone (h/t Around The NFL's Dan Hanzus) that director Mario Bobino "did a terrible job, and the film will never be released."

For his part, Bobino said of his relationship with Lynch:

"

It will never be the same between us. I think the issue with me and him now is a trust issue. He doesn't trust me anymore, so that's why the movie isn't going to come out. It's a trust issue with me now because I put out that promo out with his consent. ...

... We all make mistakes in life, and I made a mistake.

Update from Wednesday, February 25

Apparently, Marshawn isn't the biggest fan of his new biopic, according to TMZ.

"It was the quality. It doesn't look like some s--t nobody would want their name attached to," one source close to Marshawn told TMZ.

"I've known Marshawn his whole life," director Mario Bobino told TMZ. "All of the sudden he's mad at me and now doesn't want the film to see the light of day. I'm upset by this because he fully committed to see the project through and now he wants out."

The promo video has been deleted, but Mario Bobino's YouTube description stated, "There is no release date. This is only a Promotion to spark Interest in this Bio Picture."
