
Russell Wilson Checks out 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' Receives Backlash
The much anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie hit theaters this past weekend, and like many people, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson went to check it out.
Wilson sent out this tweet on Friday that let his fans know he had seen the R-rated movie:

Given that Wilson has made it known he is a very religious person, many people were shocked that the 26-year-old quarterback would go see the naughty film.

Wilson later explained why he went to see Fifty Shades of Grey:
The Seahawks star wants everyone to chill and realize it was just a movie. Hopefully, the fans are willing to accept that and move on.
As for what Wilson's teammates think of their quarterback going to see the movie, Seattle punter Jon Ryan shared his thoughts on the situation:
Maybe going to see a movie like this isn't so bad after all.
