
Mike Mitchell Injury: Updates on Steelers Safety's Torn Groin and Recovery
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Mike Mitchell has plenty of critics arguing that he was among the weakest lines on the Steelers defense. After Pittsburgh's 30-17 Wild Card Round defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, it was revealed Mitchell was suffering from a torn groin, which is likely to require surgery.

There's no question that Mitchell was a disappointment in 2014, especially after Pittsburgh gave him $25 million over five years in the offseason. Opposing quarterbacks targeted him early and often to much success.
However, even the best would struggle to play at a high level with a torn groin. Once Mitchell gets surgery and has a few months off to recuperate, he could be in for a strong rebound campaign come 2015.
