Tom Brady Responds to Terrance Knighton's Claim That Broncos Will Win Super Bowl
In the mind of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, talk is cheap.
Brady has been in the NFL long enough to know that players can say anything they want off the field. However, he also knows the only thing that matters is what happens on the field. He's not too worried about what players from other teams are saying.
After Sunday's 22-10 victory over the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos defensive lineman Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton pretty much guaranteed that the Broncos would win the Super Bowl this season. Here's what he had to say, per The Denver Post's Mark Kiszla:

"It doesn't matter what happens. At the end of the year, we're hoisting that trophy.
I don't care if New England doesn't lose again. I don't care where we have to play. I don't care who our opponent is. We're not going to be satisfied until we hoist that trophy. So if we've got to go to New England (in the playoffs) and win somewhere we're not used to winning, we're going to make it happen.
"
Those comments did not sit well with Patriots fans, perhaps because New England cruised to a 43-21 victory over Denver back in Week 9.
"A lot of angry patriot fans in my mentions. What's up guys!! Lol

The players probably weren't fans of that bold claim, either.
Brady talked about Knighton's guarantee during his appearance on Westwood One on Monday night.
"Pot Roast is a big man, and I would never say anything that would get him mad at me," Brady said. "But I will just say there is a lot of football left to be played. They'll have their chance, we'll have our chance, and we'll do our talking on the field. It doesn't matter what you say. It matters what you do. And my dad always told me, 'Well done is better than well said.'"
This is just talk.
The Broncos defeated the Patriots in last year's AFC Championship Game in Denver, 26-16. However, things could be different if the two teams meet in the playoffs again this season. Although New England and Denver are currently tied atop the AFC with 11-3 records, the Patriots' head-to-head victory over the Broncos gives them the tiebreaker.
Both Knighton and Brady are confident in their teams. Talk is fun, but at the end of the day, the teams will let their play do the talking.
