
Darnell Dockett Lobbies for Kurt Warner Return After Another Cardinals QB Injury
The Arizona Cardinals sit at 11-3 and hold the top seed in the NFC. Normally, that would be cause for celebration. However, second-string quarterback Drew Stanton went down with an injury Thursday night, leaving Arizona without its top two signal-callers.
Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett (who himself has missed the entire season with an ACL injury) took to Twitter to try to recruit an old friend for the stretch run.

However, Kurt Warner is on the cusp of a Hall of Fame nomination, and he politely declined. But there was one former NFL quarterback who offered up his services to the Cardinals.
Our old and large friend Jared Lorenzen, whose last NFL action came in the 2008 preseason, said he would gladly step in and help. But he just needs some time to get to his "playing weight."
The Cardinals have a tough road ahead of them as they gear up for the playoffs. While I'm sure they appreciate the offers, it's a "thanks, but no thanks" deal.
