Jonas Gray Scores First 4 Touchdowns of Career vs. Colts
New England Patriots running back Jonas Gray accomplished a rather unusual feat in Sunday's 42-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts, becoming the first player since Herb Henderson of the 1921 Evansville Crimson Giants to score the first four touchdowns of his career in a single game, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2012, Gray spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins organizations in his first two seasons, but he did not appear in a regular-season game for either team.
He caught on with the New England practice squad before this season and then made his first career appearance in the Week 7 win over the New York Jets after fellow Patriots running back Stevan Ridley was ruled out for the year because of a torn ACL.

Gray had just three carries for 12 yards in his first game, which he followed with performances of 17 carries for 86 yards and 12 carries for 33 yards.
Having established himself as an important part of the New England offense, Gray entered Sunday's crucial game against the Colts in search of both his first career touchdown and his first 100-yard game.
The New England game plan, which had mostly relied on the pass in recent weeks, featured the 24-year-old running back early and often.
Gray piled up four carries for 34 yards and a touchdown on the Patriots' first drive, and by the time the first half ended, he already had 14 totes for an even 100 yards and two touchdowns.
With the Patriots frequently deploying offensive lineman Cameron Fleming as an eligible receiver, Gray found plenty of big holes behind a six-man offensive line.
He added 24 carries for another 99 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, falling just one yard short of 200.
Despite coming up just short of the one milestone, Gray managed to leave his mark in the record books, notably setting the Patriots' record for most rushing touchdowns in one game, per ESPN Stats & Info.
While he probably won't ever have another performance like Sunday's, Gray should be a big part of the game plan in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions.
