Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Star Lotulelei exited Monday night's Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a leg injury.
Panthers.com's Bryan Strickland noted that Lotulelei wouldn't return to the contest at Lincoln Financial Field:
After Carolina's loss, Jonathan Jones of The Charlotte Observer provided an update on Lotulelei's x-ray:
Lotulelei was the 14th overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft and as a rookie was an instrumental part of Carolina's elite defense that helped the team win the NFC South title.
Now the defense is in disarray amid a disappointing current season. If the Panthers lose Lotulelei and his knack for stuffing the run, they can expect to continue struggling on that side of the ball that was such a strength last year.
