Bengals' Andy Dalton Historically Bad in Week 10 Loss
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton turned in one of the worst quarterback performances in recent memory during Thursday's 24-3 Week 10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
In completing just 10 of his 33 pass attempts for a mere 86 yards, Dalton posted the lowest completion percentage (30.3) in a single game for a quarterback with 30 or more attempts since Stan Gelbaugh (29.0) in 1992, per Awful Announcing (h/t NFL Network's Albert Breer).
Windy conditions played a role in the awful showing, though Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer still managed to complete 15 of his 23 pass attempts, good for a 65.2 completion percentage.

Dalton's struggle with accuracy went beyond the weather, as a number of his incomplete passes came on short routes to open receivers. There were, however, a couple of drops along the way, and the Cleveland secondary deserves credit for playing arguably its best game of the season.
Still, Dalton gave his team no chance in what should have been a winnable game.
According to pro-football-reference.com's play index, there have been 45 instances since 1960 of a quarterback completing under 31 percent of his passes in a game with 30 or more attempts. While that may seem to put Dalton in decent company, there have only been five such games over the last 25 years, with all but his coming between 1990 and 1995.
As you might expect, what Dalton did Thursday is nearly impossible in today's high-scoring NFL.
