Now that we are just a little over two weeks away from the start of pre-season, the Kansas City Chiefs will be able to really see how they match up against other teams. Do they have the right stuff?
Well lets start with the offense, did Matt Cassel do enough to get his timming down with his recievers?, did the offense figure out what to do with Larry Johnson?. How is the offensive line working with eachother? Is Brian Waters ready to step up and be a leader?. So many questions need to be answered.
Lets take a look on the defensive side. Is Tyson Jackson the missing piece on the defensive line?, will Glen Dorsey finally have a break-out year and play to his talent? will the aggressiveness and leadership from Mike Vrabel rub off on Derrick Johnson? and can Zach Thomas muster up one more solid season. Again so many questions that need to be answered.
This year was full of unexpecting events and changes from the front office to the playing field. Everything looks great on paper but you still have to play the game. The Chiefs i say was the most active team of 2009, and aquring top name coaches and players.
Scott Pioli proved that he can built a winner in New England, but he also had help from arguly the best coach in the NFL to date. Here in Kansas City, will be a far different challenge for both the front office and the coaches alike. On paper the Chiefs made all the right moves, but can they put it all together and put a winning product on the field? This pre-season for the Chiefs will be the most trying and testing for them in recent years, lets hope that all the pieces fit.
