Original Text:

The Chicago Bears could have their hands full in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, but a tough task will be made even more difficult without the services of linebacker Lance Briggs.

According to Rich Campbell of The Chicago Tribune, Briggs will not play on Sunday due to a rib injury:

The 33-year-old veteran is Chicago's No. 4 tackler with 22 stops on the season, and he is the defense's unquestioned leader as well.

Atlanta's offense headed by quarterback Matt Ryan tends to fire on all cylinders within the confines of the Georgia Dome, and Dan Wiederer The Chicago Tribune believes the Bears could struggle against Matty Ice and Co. without Briggs:

The Bears are allowing over 26 points per game this season, and it is tough to imagine them holding Atlanta below that threshold without Briggs in the fold.
