Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
The Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears this week in what is sure to be an exciting matchup. The Bears look to improve upon their 2-1 record, while Green Bay simply wants to right the ship and even its record.
Although it will probably come down to the wire, it’s tough to pick against Chicago this week.

One reason is simply because the Packers haven’t looked good at all. After being dismantled in Seattle Week 1, Detroit was able to handle the Packers last week.
Green Bay’s offense just hasn’t been what many expected. It ranks 28th in yards and 27th in points. Until it gets on track, this team is hard to like in many games.
Chicago ranks in the top 10 in scoring this year with 25 points per game. Players like Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall will make things extremely difficult on the Packers D. Chicago wins at home, 31-20.
Detroit Lions at New York Jets
Another interesting matchup tomorrow will take place at MetLife Stadium when the New York Jets take on the Detroit Lions. After dropping two straight, the Jets are hoping they can get back on a roll at home.
The Jets offense led by Geno Smith has been fairly impressive thus far. The unit ranks ninth in the NFL with 1,129 yards through three weeks. It's clearly able to move the ball, but scoring is a different story.
Turnovers have been part of the problem. The Jets rank among the league's worst with five giveaways.

The Lions are 2-1 but not because of their usual high-powered offense. It has been the defense that's been carrying the load for the first few weeks. It ranks second only to the Bengals in points per game allowed and sits in first in yards surrendered with only 733.
Although there are a lot of playmakers on both offenses, this game is lining up to be a defensive struggle. The Jets will squeak it out at home, 17-14.
Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers
Philadelphia takes its perfect 3-0 record into San Francisco to take on the 49ers in a battle between two playoff teams from a year ago.
Quarterback Nick Foles has been great for Philly. He leads the league in passing yards and is in the top 10 in quarterback rating as well. Chip Kelly’s offense ranks second only to Atlanta in points per game with a staggering 33.7.

San Francisco hasn’t been nearly as impressive. The loss last week to division foe Arizona dropped the Niners to 1-2. San Francisco has usually been one of the NFL’s best rushing teams but is averaging only a modest 112 yards per game on the ground.
This week, coach Jim Harbaugh should be more committed to the run to keep the Eagles off the field. The 49ers have to play better to get this win, but they’re definitely capable. They’ll win at home 31-28.
