Rams' Janoris Jenkins Records 5th Defensive Touchdown of Career
St. Louis Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins recorded the fifth defensive touchdown of his career during Sunday's 34-31 home loss to the Dallas Cowboys, per ESPN Stats & Info.
With the Rams already ahead 14-0 in the second quarter, Jenkins jumped in front of a Tony Romo pass intended for wide receiver Dez Bryant and then walked into the end zone for an easy 25-yard return.
Jenkins celebrated the score by mimicking Bryant's celebration, but it was the superstar wideout who would get the last laugh.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Bryant burnt Jenkins on a double move early in the second half, breaking wide open for a 68-yard touchdown that cut the deficit to 21-17. Bryant finished his day with six receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown in the eventual 34-31 victory.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Jenkins' five defensive touchdowns are the most in the NFL since he entered the league as a second-round draft pick in 2012.
He scored the first four as a rookie, taking three of his four interceptions for touchdowns, and also returning a fumble the distance. Jenkins found the big plays harder to come by last season, as he managed just one pick and one fumble recovery, with neither going for a touchdown.
According to pro-football-reference.com's play index, only five players since 1920 have recorded four or more defensive touchdowns in a season, with Jenkins (2012) joined by Ken Houston (1971), Jim Kearney (1972), Eric Allen (1993) and Derrick Brooks (2002). Houston, a Hall of Fame defensive back, set the still-standing NFL record of five defensive touchdowns in a season while playing for the Houston Oilers in 1971.
Jenkins, if he keeps it up, may one day challenge the NFL record of 13 career defensive touchdowns, co-owned by Hall of Fame defensive back Rod Woodson and Oakland Raiders safety Charles Woodson.
