Adidas thought outside the box to come up with its latest pair of cleats.

Shoe companies have been designing shoes specifically for athletes for quite some time, but it's rare that a celebrity gets to help design a pair of cleats. However, Adidas came up with a way to let Snoop Dogg get his own cleats.

Check out the details of the limited-edition Adizero 5-Star Snoop Lion cleats, via Adidas:

The first celebrity cleat collaboration from adidas, Snoop's 5-star is done-up with gold cleat tips and detailing with an all-white toe box and roaring lion printed from the mid-foot to heel. The sockliner and ankle collar feature a sublimated lion fur inspired print and the lace jewel is a lion tooth grill modeled after one of Snoop's personal chains. Snoop detailing also includes a Snoop Lion signature printed across the tongue.

The Adizero 5-Star Snoop Lion cleats are unlike any you have seen before:

The cleats have a wild design, but that shouldn't hurt their performance. They are still going to be extremely light at just 6.7 ounces. The cleats are designed to increase acceleration and provide maximum support.

Snoop, who has always been a football fan, was thrilled to get a chance to have his own cleats: "As an avid football fan, I’m excited about my cleat collab with adidas. The cleats are not only made for top performance, but specially designed by me—so get ready to be suited and booted, dipped and whipped like me."

On June 27, fans in Los Angeles will be able to purchase the Adizero 5-Star Snoop Lion for $120. Fans who buy the limited-edition cleats will certainly be getting their money's worth. Anyone who purchases the cleats will have the chance to meet Snoop and take a picture with him.

It's an innovative idea by Adidas, and it looks like the company has done everything it could to provide customers with a great value.
