Tom Brady Doesn't Plan on Watching Super Bowl XLVIII

The Super Bowl is the biggest television event of the year, but one of the NFL's biggest stars has no plans to watch the game.

The New England Patriots were within one game of playing in Super Bowl XLVIII, but fell to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship.

Understandably, it doesn't sound like Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is going to watch the Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks battle for the Lombardi Trophy at MetLife Stadium on Feb. 2.

One day after the 26-16 loss to the Broncos, the superstar talked about Super Bowl XLVIII with Boston's WEEI:

I don’t have much of a rooting interest, truthfully. Those games are hard to watch. I don’t see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game or watch it. Our season is over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching a game. That’s pretty much how I feel.

That should come as no surprise to fans. For the second straight year, the Patriots came one game short of playing for a championship. Losing so late in the season stings, and Brady is probably still getting over the loss.

The game is about two weeks away, though, so Brady could still change his mind.
