After a four-year stint as a Carolina Panther, cornerback Ken Lucas has returned to the franchise that drafted him. Lucas will be looked at to start alongside Marcus Trufant and help turn around a secondary that was ranked dead last against the pass last season.

I recently was asked to jot down a list of questions I would ask Lucas if I were given the chance to catch up with him. Here is that list.

What did you like most about your time in Carolina? Least?

What was it like playing for the defensive minded John Fox and the rest of his staff?

Did it hurt to leave Seattle in 2004 and have you always had it in the back of your mind that you would return? Because it seems like there was a mutual infatuation with how quickly you decided to sign.

Take me back to the off-season of 2004, what was going through your head as the process unraveled?

Were you happy with the decision you made? Are you?

Is there any ill will between you and Steve Smith after last year's incident? Was there anything more to it than what ESPN reported on it's countdown show or was it really just an incident that actually allowed the team to rally together?

Alright so it's 2009, how much left do you have in the tank, can you still be a pro bowl level corner in this league?

How do you see yourself contributing to this defense, teaming with guys like Marcus, Josh, and Kelly to improve the secondary's performance of last year?

How good can this defense be?

And a fun one...What do you enjoy most about the city of Seattle?

[note: Of course my interview with him would not be relegated to just these questions. As a journalist, I would go in with some idea of what his answers would be but also with an idea of the feature I'd want to write and ask follow-ups depending on what his answers were. You have to probe!]
