There's a lot to be proud about living in the state of Missouri right now.

The Chiefs have instilled some hope in people and the Kansas City Royals are one of the hottest teams in the major leagues right now.

Take, for starters, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have made moves in the offseason and during the draft that will definitely improve their status. They have signed some big-league names and filled a lot of spots that needed attention.

Matt Cassel will be the face of the Kansas City Chiefs and based on his performance last year,  he brings a lot of promise to the club.

The Kansas City Royals, on the other hand, have also made great progress through the years. The Royals were one of the youngest teams in the major leagues as of late, and now things are falling into place.

The face of the Royals seems to be Zack Greinke, as he has had an unbelievable start to the season. Zach Greinke is currently the first pitcher to win six games, with an ERA of 0.40.

Coco Crisp has also added some excitement and fire-power to the Royals lineup.

The Royals David DeJesus' is making a lot of nosie in the lineup too, as he adds leadership to the team.

The "Show-Me State" is showing a lot of people that the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals are two teams to take notice of.

Yes, it's still early in the baseball season and the Chiefs haven't taken the field yet, but with everything that has been going on with both clubs, Missouri now has something to cheer about.
