Fantasy Football Week 16 Rankings: Position-by-Position Breakdown
It's Week 16, and if your team is still alive in the fantasy playoffs, you're likely in the championship.
Congratulations to those who are still in.
If you're in the finals, you'll need to have your A-game this week and start the best possible lineup.
There's nothing worse than starting the wrong players in a big week. With that being said, here are the top three players this week at each position.

1. Cam Newton
As much as it pains me to put Newton in this spot, he's earned it with his play over the past several weeks. Newton's the best player going in fantasy at the moment, and is in for a big Week 16.
Coupled with the fact that the Panthers are squaring off against Oakland, you have a recipe for disaster if you're matched up against Newton in the championship.
Aaron Rodgers had fallen slightly from fantasy prominence over the past month or so, but he roared back with a big game last week.
Against Tennessee, don't be shocked if he comes close to dropping 30 fantasy points.
3. Tom Brady
This was close between Brady and Drew Brees, but Tom Brady has had big games in four out of the past five weeks and has a dream matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
If Brady is on your team this week, expect big things.
2. Running Backs

Adrian Peterson is playing like a man possessed as he closes in on Eric Dickerson's all-time rushing record. Peterson's going to get a ton of touches, as the Vikings will want to give him a shot to break the record.
Of all the players on this list, he was the easiest to place.
2. Arian Foster
It's rare that you find the top two RBs for the week in the same game, but we have it this week.
Foster matches up against Peterson's Vikings, which could lead to a game with massive rushing yards.
If Foster's on your squad, start him with complete confidence.
3. Jamaal Charles
Charles is coming off a slow week, but I think he's got a great shot to bounce back this week against Indy.
Charles broke an 80-yard TD run two weeks ago, so don't be shocked if he breaks another big one this week.
3. Wide Receivers

1. Calvin Johnson
Calvin Johnson is an absolute beast and has relatively quietly given himself a shot to break Jerry Rice's all-time receiving record.
He's dealing with some knee issues, but that shouldn't stop him this week against Atlanta.
Feel free to expect 100-plus yards and at least one TD out of Megatron.
2. Andre Johnson
Johnson had a monster game last week and should parlay that success into another solid game against Minnesota this week.
Johnson looks like he's peaking right now, and if he's on your team, he's obviously an absolute must start.
3. A.J. Green
A.J. Green has had an excellent year, and is a top fantasy wideout. He's slowed down slightly recently, but there's a good chance he gets back on the right track and has a big game against Pittsburgh this week.
It's a tough matchup, but Green will certainly get his fair share of targets.
4. Tight Ends

1. Aaron Hernandez
With Gronk's status still uncertain, Hernandez has to occupy the top spot for this week's TE rankings. Hernandez is on a tear right now and is playing at an extremely high level.
He's getting a ton of targets and is in line for another big game on Sunday.
2. Tony Gonzalez
Gonzalez continues to defy the odds at his relatively old age by still being an elite TE. It seems like he's always having a solid fantasy week.
Against Detroit, Gonzalez has a great matchup and should have yet another good week.
3. Jason Witten
Jason Witten hasn't had as big a year as he has customarily had in the past, but he's still a great option. His matchup this week against New Orleans is terrific as well.
Start Witten with confidence in Week 16.
