DeMarco Murray’s fantasy football slumber is over. After missing six games, the Dallas Cowboys sophomore running back has recorded a rushing touchdown in three consecutive contests, totaling 58 rushes for 237 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

He’s also caught four passes in each matchup, totaling 12 receptions for 72 yards. In Week 16, he should continue to help his fantasy owners by taking advantage of the fantasy RB-friendly opponent that is the New Orleans Saints.

His team has to be stubborn with giving him the football, learning from the mistakes of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15. The Bucs' offense got steamrolled and shut out while the Saints threw 41 points on the board against Tampa Bay’s unsuspecting D.

New Orleans has allowed 152.3 rushing yards per game in its last four road contests on 5.64 yards per carry. Murray should hit his second 100-yard rushing mark on the season (and first since Week 1) as part of a balanced Cowboys attack.

DeMarco Murray Week 16 Projections: 19 rushes, 116 rushing yards, 1 TD, 4 receptions, 27 receiving yards

If you’ve made it this far with Cam Newton as your fantasy quarterback, you’ve likely got another strong option at the position. Newton may be the best bet in all of fantasy football in Week 16 against the Oakland Raiders, whose defense is generous via both the air and the ground.

Combine that with the fact that Newton has been spectacular in his last five games, totaling 1,308 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, 293 rushing yards and three rushing scores—and you’ve got a fantasy cornerstone in Week 16.

Cam’s best fantasy performances have come against defenses that have trouble defending the run. He rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns in two matchups with the Atlanta Falcons in addition to 78 more against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders are 29th against the run.

Newton has the potential to put your fantasy team on his back and carry you to a league crown with his upcoming matchup.

Cam Newton Week 16 Projections: 264 passing yards, 2 passing TD, 8 rushing attempts, 91 rushing yards, 2 rushing TD

Pierre Garcon probably has to score a touchdown to help your pursuit of a fantasy title. With three in his last four games, the Washington Redskins' No. 1 receiver should be up to the task against the Philadelphia Eagles' pass defense. No one seems to be afraid to throw on the Eagles, as it’s been eight games since anyone wearing Philadelphia green has come up with an interception.

Garcon saw 12 targets while facing Joe Haden’s Cleveland Browns in Week 15. He caught six for 62 yards—but if he gets that many looks against the Eagles’ porous defense in Week 16, he should have a field day for fantasy owners.

Kirk Cousins’ success (and the Redskins’ 38 points) in Robert Griffin III’s absence means that you shouldn’t be deterred from using Garcon as a No. 2 receiver or flex play with massive upside.

Pierre Garcon Week 16 Projections: 8 catches, 132 yards, TD
