The NFL reportedly met with Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak and defensive coordinator Jerry Gray to discuss the usage of "bounty-type language," according to Fox’s NFL insider Jay Glazer.

With the sheer chaos that the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal caused over the last year, the fact that the NFL is still finding teams that aren’t following or understanding the league’s stance on bounties is mind-blowing.

There is no gray area anymore, and the fact that a team like the Titans is being questioned about using language too close to bounty terminology shows organizations are still not clear about what is going on.
Either Tennessee reportedly didn’t understand the rules, or they chose not to learn from the damage this scandal caused the Saints franchise.
What It Means
The last several months of suspensions and penalties for New Orleans and the public relations disaster they caused for the NFL has made this a zero-tolerance situation.
While odds are that the Titans did nothing wrong, the fact that they are even being met with proves they were dancing a fine line with breaking the rules.
Judging by how fast the NFL acted, it is making sure no team is confused by the rules.
What’s Next?
The hope is that the Titans and every team in the NFL learned from the Saints' bounty scandal, and that this reported meeting was nothing more than just cleaning up a few unfortunate words from a defensive unit.
While this may be a slow process of changing the culture of the sport, the league is just trying to make sure every player on every team realizes just how serious the NFL’s stance really is on the bounty subject.
