Yankees' Derek Jeter Sells Epic Trump World Tower Penthouse for $15.5 Million
Derek Jeter, the crowned prince of Manhattan, just sold his beautiful bachelor pad, and the pictures have us all good and jealous.
None of us will never know what it's like to live like Jeter, a man who gets clutch hits in the evening before taking some of the most beautiful women in the world around at night. But we do get some insight into how he lived the few hours he was actually home, relaxing in a penthouse that is simply ridiculous.
The NY Daily News reports that the Yankees shortstop just sold this coveted spot in the Trump Towers for a cool $15.5 million.
The four-bedroom apartment has 16-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, and an entertaining space that is 77-feet long and includes a living room, billiards room (with a video game console), piano lounge, wet bar, and a formal dining room.
Sounds like the perfect place for a bachelor to get comfortable. I know most guys would be right at home shooting some pool and making a drink as they overlook the city through 16-foot windows.
The report issues that Jeter wanted to move into a smaller living arrangement in Manhattan while still maintaining his mansion in Tampa Bay.
Before you scoff at the price, consider that the lucky buyer actually got a deal. The NY Daily News reports the original asking price was $20 million.
If you are going to get a view that apparently ranges from Empire State Building to One World Trade, you're going to pay a handsome sum—if nothing else than to say you're living in Jeter's penthouse.
I would imagine that kind of statement carries a little bit of weight in the city.
